Dubh Studio is an independent fashion product and technical consultancy founded by Pam McCrone, bringing over 25 years of experience across product development, garment technology, sourcing, manufacturing and commercial operations.
From international fashion businesses to independent, design-led brands, I’ve worked alongside designers, buyers, technical teams and manufacturers to turn creative ideas into thoughtfully developed garments, ready for production.
My experience connects the detail of fit, grading and construction with product strategy, supplier relationships, quality standards, development systems and team leadership.
The strongest products emerge when these disciplines work together and people understand how their decisions affect the whole.

WHY DUBH STUDIO?
Dubh is the Gaelic word for black. It felt right for a studio rooted in Scotland and an approach to product that is stripped back, considered and built on substance.
Practical, enduring and precise, black provides a foundation for creativity, craft and character to stand out. That reflects my role: bringing clarity and structure to good ideas while preserving what makes them distinctive.
I created Dubh Studio to give founders, creative teams and established brands access to independent product and technical expertise, shaped around their business.
I bring the judgement and initiative to take a brief forward independently, alongside the ability to adapt to an existing vision, team and way of working.
My aim is to leave something valuable behind: a resolved technical challenge, a stronger process, clearer documentation or a more confident team. Through practical guidance, training and shared knowledge, I help improvements continue beyond my involvement.
That might mean a fresh perspective, hands-on project delivery or experienced leadership alongside your team.
